|What is your Lead Question (the question you are proposing to ask in your essay)? Write it below: Remember: Try to make it an open question – not a closed question which can be answered by yes / no or one word. Make sure it isn’t a question which answers itself e.g. ‘why is porn bad for us?’ would suggest that it was ‘bad’.Make the question narrow, focussed and specific e.g. put time parameters around it. For example, ‘How has the role of sexuality in advertising changed over the past five years?’ Avoid any pejorative, emotional or subjective language e.g. good, beautiful, bad – you should avoid this throughout your writing – BE OBJECTIVE AND ANALYTICAL NOT JUDGEMENTAL|
